I have always had a passion for animals and their care even from a very young age. I knew that would be my future career in one form or another. In childhood I would bathe/ brush, and walk neighbors dogs, and pet sit whenever I could. Then in high school I worked at a pet store where so many animals, reptiles, and even birds were cared for before they went to their forever homes. In 1999 I started an apprenticeship as an AKC certified groomer. A few years later after starting a family I took a short break from grooming to raise my children, and also worked part time as a vet tech at a local Veterinarian's office. It wasn't long before I was back grooming as it was where my heart belongs. Several times it was because another grooming facility requested my expertise in their time of need. In 2010 the previous owners of The Groomer propositioned me to work for them. In only a few months I would take ownership of The Groomer at 77 Main Street. After being on Main street for 10 years The Groomer moved their location to Church Street and added Serenity Dog Spa into the business name to embody the grooming environment I worked so hard to create. I pioneered the cage free grooming experience in our area because I knew from my experience it helps build a relationship with each dog, and would give them the most relaxing and comforting experience possible while giving them the one on one attention they deserve.
At Serenity Dog Spa owned by The Groomer we serve the people who want the best care for their dogs. Every client is given a private spa grooming experience. Your dog will be pampered with a massage bath using top of the line shampoos and coat conditioners. Dried by hand and blow dried on the table. Like previously mentioned, I pioneered the cage free grooming experience in the area and take pride in being able to give your dogs the best experience possible by only having one clients dog or dogs, in my grooming area at a time to ensure a calm and comfortable experience with all of my time and attention focused on them. This ensures the expedited, yet still exceptional services you will be able to expect every time.
At this time my schedule books out 3+ months in advance which can make accepting new clients challenging. However if you send me an Email with your contact information, and your pets info.: Including Name, breed, weight, previous grooming history and a photo I will get back to you to see if we can find an opening for you.
